Wood chipping & mulch in Greensboro — don’t pay to haul off good mulch

Every tree job ends with a pile of limbs and brush, and you’ve basically got two options: pay to have it trucked away, or turn it into something you can use. For most jobs, chipping it on site is the smarter move — cheaper than haul-off, better for the environment, and you end up with free mulch for your beds and paths instead of a debris pile waiting on a burn day.

We bring the chipper to you. Limbs, brush, storm debris, whole tops — it goes in, and a pile that took over your yard comes out as a fraction of the volume in usable mulch. Want to keep it? We’ll pile it neatly or spread it where you need it. Don’t want it? We haul it off and you never think about it again.

It works as an add-on to any removal, pruning, or clearing job we do, and we’ll also come chip a pile you already made — whether it’s from a storm, your own weekend cutting, or a removal someone else handled and left behind. Either way, the brush disappears and the site gets raked down clean. We’ve been doing tree work around Greensboro for more than 25 years, and getting the cleanup right is half of what makes a job feel finished.

How it works

  1. 1

    We size up the pile

We look at how much you've got and what it is — soft brush, hardwood limbs, whole tops — and quote it plainly.

  2. 2

    We chip it on site

The chipper comes to you. Limbs and brush go in, mulch comes out, and a pile that filled your yard shrinks to a fraction of the space.

  3. 3

You keep it or we take it

Want the mulch? We'll blow it into a tidy pile or spread it where you need it. Don't want it? We haul it off. Either way the brush is gone.

  4. 4

    We leave it clean

Site raked down, mulch where you want it, and no debris pile sitting there for weeks waiting on a burn day that never comes.

Wood Chipping & Mulch — Questions & Answers

How much does wood chipping cost in Greensboro?

It depends on how much material there is and what kind — soft brush chips faster than seasoned hardwood. Chipping added to a removal or clearing job we're already doing is usually inexpensive; standalone chipping of a big pile is quoted on volume. Call 336-681-3972 for a free quote.

Can I keep the wood chips for mulch?

Absolutely — and most people do. Fresh chips make great mulch for beds, around trees, and on paths, and keeping them on site usually lowers your cost since we're not hauling them away. We can pile them or spread them where you want.

Do you chip debris from a tree I had removed by someone else?

Yes. If you've got a pile of limbs and brush already on the ground — from a previous job, a storm, or your own cutting — we can bring the chipper out and clear it. You don't have to have used us for the removal.

Is mulching better than hauling it away?

Usually, on both cost and the environment. Hauling means truck trips and disposal fees; chipping on site turns your debris into something useful and keeps it out of the landfill. For most jobs we'll recommend chipping unless there's a reason not to.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes — fully insured and run by an ISA-certified arborist. Chippers are serious equipment, so make sure anyone running one on your property carries proper insurance. We do, and we're happy to show it.
