Reclaim the spot that stump’s been hogging
A leftover stump is more than an eyesore — it’s a tripping hazard, a mower-killer, a home for pests, and a stubborn reason you can’t put anything else there. Grinding it out is the clean way to be done with it for good.
We bring the grinder to your stump, check for anything underground we need to avoid, and take it down several inches below grade. What’s left is a spot you can rake out, fill, seed, or replant — no chemicals, no digging a crater, no waiting months for it to rot.
The grindings make excellent free mulch right over the spot, but if you’d rather start fresh, we’ll haul them off. Pair it with a removal or book it on its own.

How it works
- 1
Locate and check
We confirm the stump's size and check for anything we shouldn't hit — sprinkler lines, utilities, hardscape.
- 2
Grind it down
Our grinder takes the stump well below ground level so it's out of sight and out of your mower's way.
- 3
Finish the spot
We leave the grindings as mulch or haul them off, and the spot is ready for grass or a new plant.
Stump Grinding — Questions & Answers
How far down do you grind a stump?
Typically 4–8 inches below grade — enough to plant grass over it or replant, and well past where a mower would ever reach. We can go deeper if you're planning to put something specific in that spot.
Do you remove the stump grindings?
Your choice. Many folks leave them as free mulch over the spot; if you'd rather have a clean hole to fill with soil, we'll haul the grindings away. Just say the word.
Can you grind a stump that's right next to my house or fence?
Usually yes — our equipment handles tight spots well. We'll check clearance and any nearby utilities first so the job stays safe.
Will the roots grow back after grinding?
No. Once the stump is ground out and the tree is gone, the remaining roots have no way to regrow into a tree. They simply break down in the soil over time.
